I've been experimenting with using AI and ChatGPT to create concept art. Specifically, I've been revisiting my old "The Nuns of Designchapel" concept from 2002, and I must say, I'm impressed with the results!
I've been experimenting with using AI and ChatGPT to create concept art. Specifically, I've been revisiting my old "The Nuns of Designchapel" concept from 2002, and I must say, I'm impressed with the results! These images are my tribute to Syd Mead, a master of the craft.
While I have mixed feelings about using AI for visuals, I find it truly magnificent for exploring new concepts. The possibilities to test out ideas that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise are simply fascinating. I'm excited to see where this technology will take us.
One tool that I've found particularly useful for creating visualizations is Midjourney. As someone who has been working in the craft on a professional level since 1998, I understand the moral considerations surrounding the use of AI-generated art. Nonetheless, I believe that human designers will still be in demand for a long time to come.
